Jason Hill has represented local governments for more than 20 years. The first 19 years of Jason’s career included the defense of Minnesota counties and cities, primarily through the litigation of civil rights matters. After law school, Jason returned home to practice for more than 3 years in Hibbing on Minnesota’s Iron Range, working in the areas of litigation defense and municipal law. For the next 15 years, Jason worked for litigation defense firms in the Twin Cities representing primarily Minnesota counties and practicing in a wide variety of areas of the law, including civil rights litigation, motor vehicle liability, premises liability, construction litigation and employment law.
In 2018, Jason joined Troy Gilchrist at Kennedy & Graven, Chartered and exclusively represented townships throughout the State for nearly 4 years. In recent years, Jason has continued to work with many townships, but he also began serving as city attorney for a number of cities, including Brooklyn Center, Tonka Bay, Pipestone and East Gull Lake.
In 2024, Jason and Troy decided to form Town Law Center PLLP to allow them to focus
their time on serving townships. After growing up in Nashwauk Township on Minnesota’s Iron Range, Jason is looking forward to focusing on the service of Minnesota townships and assisting townships in providing services to their residents.
